Water Monitoring

Three long-term monitoring sites exist within the Middle St. Croix watershed: Lily and McKusick Lakes, and Perro Pond. All three of these water bodies are monitored for elevation; Lily and McKusick have surface elevation data records that start in the early 1900's and Perro Pond since 1993. Lily and McKusick have also been monitored for water quality since the mid-1990s. In 2005, the MSCWMO began to collect data on Perro Creek including total discharge, precipitation, and analytical analysis. Summaries of the data collected can be found in the 2006 Monitoring Summary.

For additional water monitoring information on these or other local water bodies, contact the Washington Conservation District at 651-275-1136 or www.mnwcd.org.
